Meagan Schrader ATC, LAT – Athletic Trainer
MHS welcomes Megan Schrader in her first season as an Athletic Trainer with Bulldog Football. Meagan is originally from Granbury, graduating in 2010. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from West Texas A&M University in Canyon. While in Canyon, Megan worked two seasons with the Arena Football Team, Amarillo Venom. She pursued her Masters Degree in Education from San Angelo State University as a GA for the Women’s Basketball Team, as well as working with San Angelo’s Arena Football Team, The Bandits. Megan enjoys helping others accomplish their goals, whether that is in the gym, on the field, or in the classroom.
Hondo Schneider – Athletic Trainer
Hondo graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Sports Medicine. He has served as Athletic Trainer for the San Francisco 49ers, the USFL Houston Gamblers, Howard Payne University, Copperas Cove High School and Midland Lee High School. Hondo also serves on the UIL Medical Advisory Committee. This is his 26th year with MISD. He is married to Marla, a teacher at Coleman High School. They
have 2 children – a daughter, Jessica, a Felony Prosecutor, and Brandt, a sophomore at Texas Tech.
Dr. Donald W. Floyd, Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Floyd has been in private practice in Midland since 1982. He graduated with highest honors from the University of Texas El Paso before attending medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he received his Doctorate of Medicine in 1974. Following several years as a Captain/Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force, Dr. Floyd completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Texas San Antonio in 1982. Dr. Floyd has an extensive history as an orthopedic consultant/surgeon for the US Olympic Training Center, the US Olympic Festival, the World University Games, USA Hockey, and the US National Diving Championships. In addition to his responsibilities with Midland High School, he currently serves as team physician for the Midland Rockhounds and Midland College.
Dr. Brent Huckabay
Dr. Brent Huckabay was born in Midland, TX. He attended Abilene Christian University, where he received his B.S. in biology in 1979. He then went on to attend the University of Texas Houston Dental Branch, graduating in 1983 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. While Dr. Huckabay has served the Midland community with excellent dental care for nearly three decades, he remains committed to continuing his education in dentistry, including participation in the Seattle Study Club and Frank Spear Dental Study Club. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Permian Basin Dental Society, and he has received advanced training in the use of digital CAD/CAM crown construction (same-day crowns). Dr. Huckabay and his wife, Suzanne, have three children and have lived in Midland since 1986.
